Highlight: Ready for next Earthquake?

There are five major steps of structural reinforcement of your home against Earthquake:
1. Solid single piece concrete foundation. Not brittle, cracked, concrete blocks, or wood.
2. Anchor sill plate and floor framing to the foundation with the bolts and metal ties.
3. Install cripple walls with vent holes in crawl space.
4. Install/reinforce shearwall to whole house per structural engineering requirement.
5. Install plywood and ties under the roof.

First three steps are doable for most handy homeowners with typical home owners' tools and some rental tools. The final two steps will require an experienced knowledgeable contractor's help.
Master Builder S.V. sincerely hope you do any of the above for your benefit. They are all worth their cost, whether you DIY or hire contractor to do it. First 3 steps should cost less than $1000 in materials  for most homes and couple of a weekends, but it can save hundreds of thousands dollars and lives.
